Robert Summers has built and raced stock cars since 1989.  First at Cloverleaf Speedway, Cleveland, Ohio and now Painesville Speedway.  He has twenty-three feature wins plus over forty victories in dashes, heats, and pursuit races while driving his #47 Haydu Automotive Chevrolet.

"Race Car Heart" has appeared in numerous auto racing journals and speedway publications across the United States and Canada from 1994 to the present.  The jokes, stories, one-liners, and wise cracks are inspired by the drivers, officials, and fans Robert has encountered at local short tracks.  His other works:  "TechToons", "Shiver Me Timbers", and "Junior High Babylon" have been published nationally and internationally as well.

Robert lives in Hiram, Ohio with his lovely wife, Denise, and their two young daughters, Claire and Kelly.  He is a fourth grade teacher who enjoys watching the Marx Brothers and reading works by Mark Twain.  His favorite driver is ASA Champion, Butch Miller.  The purpose of his cartoons is not to editorialize or preach, but to entertain and hopefully make you laugh so hard snot comes out your nose.
